Oh man here we are, our quad was stolen from Coos Bay last memorial day, and I am happy to say that it was recovered and found down in California, just got back from picking it up,. they changed the look on us a little bit, but the bike fired right up and had no problems! I would like to thank everyone that helped in trying to find this and that helped provide info, now hopefully they lock this guy up!

Default Stolen quad recovered!

I will do so, the problem is the quad was impounded on January 5th, and the guy was arrested for drving while suspended, and DUI. At that time they never ran the quad stuff to know that it was stolen. Two months later Feb 25th, the tow company went to file for title transfer into there name through DMV, and DMV red flagged it because it was in there system as stolen, so the quad sat for two months at an impund shop before i ever found out it was recovered in Ukiah, California. They put a warrant out for his arrest, and I will press charges and also probally a civil lawsuit for the loss of value of the bike, if they ever catch him!! GOOD NEW IS I GOT IT BACK AND IT STILL RUNS!

let me correct myself. they ran the ORV tags on it, and they come up "no record on file" because Oregon's ORV tags are no longer through DMV so none of that stuff is on file.

Glad you got it back If they file charges against him and he is found guilty. Ask the court to have him pay back restitution for the damages to the quad. (Tell the District Attorney you want them to do this) Ours does it all the time That way, the probation dept. will recover the money for you If, he doesn't pay up, He can be found in violation of his probation and possibly, go back to jail This way, you won't need to file a civil case against him

Also, if the sytem up there isn't tied into DMV, then, why register itAnd, they should of still put the VIN into NCIC that way, it would of still come up stolen.......Sounds like the system up there, failed you
