Air down. Use momentum to get up hills. Remember you can turn around on just about anything as long as you keep the wheels spinning, never come to a complete stop and lean uphill.

WOT momentum is your friend, if you are riding some big bowls and you loose it you will easily go flipping end over end to the bottom. Ride with someone that knows the area and the sand as what appears to be a small rise and easy jump can easily be a thirty foot razor back. Hitting at speed will cause severe problems for both rider and quad. Other than that paddles and have a good time

It also depends which dunes that you are going to. If its just sand lake then just be safe and always ride on a defensive position. Other riders don't pay attention and speed can hurt.
If you go to florence or south of it watch out for the razors and the witches eyes. The dunes can change in a matter of hours .

So the basic idea is not to be an Idiot the first time out.I've been warned about the razorbacks by a person I know. They rode one time at Moses lake, the price was a broken leg and a crashed bike.I'm a sledder, so I've got the idea about about momentum and leaning uphill.Witches eye,is this like a hole in the sand where the sand has drifted around something, kinda like snow drifting around a tree? Thanks for the replies, did'nt think anyone was going too.

Lostsoul-A witches eye is very much like the situation in the snow you described just minus the tree.
