From what the guys at Skat trak tell me the sand conditions in Mich are similar to the sand conditions at some of the Oregon dunes, just not sure which ones. Its looser and not as heavy as glamis and other points in that direction.

Mind you, I have never ridden the sand in Michigan, but if indeed it IS like the sand here on the Oregon coastal dunes, I'd definately use the 22" paddle brats 6-paddle, or 22" haulers with 6-7 paddles if drag racing is you main concern.
I know that the Pro-wedge tires I used to have would in no way hook up like the haulers do. In fact, I used to run them on my 250X!! [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-shocked.gif[/img]
The only type of terrain I've seen those used for is in the dirt drags, or anything other than soft sand.
If I were you, I'd be talking to some of the guys who actually drag race out there at Michigan and get their feedback.

Well I was given a chance to get a set for a cheap price. I will probably get them anyway for dirt and snow I was curious about their performance on sand. I guess I'll just throw the set in the trailer and let them sit until I get around to mounting them. If I get really ambitious I might get them ready and try them out at the dunes next time I go, I'll just make sure I have my extremes as well.

I'm using both.On a dirt track that was hooking good(using 4-snows),1st though 3rd,the wheelie bar took a beating.In dry sand,the banshee was spinning them really hard,no wheelies.I think you'll like the 4-snows though.A raptor will get better traction than a banshee.The 4-snows get taller the faster you go giving you more topend.Good for drags.I also like the extremes for my banshee in sand.Alot depends on the mods. you've done.My banshee dynoed at 73 hp.before some more jetting changes.So traction is an issue.

i was running some on an lt 250r last year at the florence dunes and they did pretty good. bette5r than stockers but even with a bike that will pull everything at florence i was leary of going into some holes and tree shoots with them for fear that they would just spin out when i needed them most

SkatTrak now has a new paddle design called the Ripper. It's like a Hauler, but the paddle is much thicker. My friend put some on his Rappy. I was ver impressed at the hole shot he was pulling. He was running 20"s and I think a big thumper should be running 22"s, but he was not spinning these out like normal Haulers might. On stiffer sand they were a little stiff.
