Yep, the weather forecast is for 97-98 on Sat, cooling down to the low 60's at night. No worries - lots of cold brew, an air conditioner in the toy hauler for the mid day siesta and a misting system for the outside canopy. WOOO HOOOO I can't wait! The winds aren't supposed to be that bad either.

you know whats going to be cooler than anything here is that im going to be moving to yuma so i will be able to ride all year long. The yz125 or 250 that i will be getting i will be putting a certain type of cool head made by this company (phatheadracing.com) and it will keep my dirtbike extra cool. I will be able to load up the trailer take a 1 to 2 hour ride all year LONG. And my current riding spot which sucks is 2 hours thats 1 hr and 30 mins longer that the nearest sand dune. I will be 1 hr away from glamis maybe a little more. But it will be great. And im moving their at the end of the year so dunes season will be here. YEA

Best to switch to 20W50 oil before you go!

I was going to do a quick last trip to Ocotillo this weekend, but it will be in the high 90's. Decided on Hungry Valley instead, where it is in the 70's. I think maybe the desert riding season is over. Time to switch to the mountains and Pismo!

Yuma, that's only about a 20 minute ride from Buttercup! Nice in the late fall, winter and early spring, but I pity you in the summer. That is unless you start riding at Rocky Point!

Nah, gotta get one last trip in. We're most likely going to Hungry Valley over Memorial Day weekend. Planning a Pismo trip in July, either the second or third weekend of that month - avoiding July 4th. Most likely we'll go from Thursday to Monday. But, I can't wait that long for sand. We'll just bring the tank tops, shorts, sun block and misters. I just got a cool set up that mists the entire front end of my canopy, it'll be put to good use this weekend! If you change your mind about Gorman and wanna play in the sand, let us know, we're leaving around noon on Friday and we'll most likely be camping somewhere off Gecko loop. We're meeting family from Phoenix so there will be four kids there, from ages 3 to 14. SAND SAND SAND SAND SAND

Ya'll missed at great weekend in the dunes! Awesome riding from sun up to just about noon, then again from 6:00 pm to whenever. There was more of a breeze than a wind, not crowded, but enough folks to have fun and still have some elbow room. From noon to six was inside siesta time, which made staying up late to ride and getting up early to ride all the better. Now my tow vehicle did not appreciate the 109 outside temp from Rancho Mirage to Cabazon on yesterday's ride home, but like the post said, this was the last Glamis run until the fall. Pismo is next . . . . .

Hey Sandjunkie (or anyone else),

Where is Whited's Ice in Brawley?
Is that the correct spelling?
