Default Little Sahara OK vs. Silver Lake in MI

okay i have now been to little sahara Ok twice
i really want to go somewhere else
the only other close place besides the dunes in LA (waaaaaaaaaayyyyyyy too small)
that is relatively close to us is silver lake which i believe is a 13 hour drive compared to 9 for little sahara
i was really wondering how the two compare to each other
is silver lake bigger , taller, more jumps,, etc.
i really want to make it to glamis this winter but i know this summer we will make at least a couple of trips to some sand
and i want to try silver lake if it is better than lil sahara

thanks a lot guys

I've never been to silver lake but I have been to Oklahoma several times and to Glamis twice. I am saving my money for Glamis in the fall. The parking lot / camp ground on gecko road is bigger than all of Waynoka put together. Waynoka is a good place to learn to ride but 1 trip to Glamis is worth 10 to Waynoka. Just my thoughts.

The dunes in Kermit Texas are kind of fun also. The hills aren't very big, but the area is fairly large in size. I'm not sure how far away they are from you, but it may be an option?

Glamis claims to be "the Sand Toy Capital of the World"....and anyone who has been there on a Holiday weekend has no argument with that staement. But, no summer trips there!

I would like to hear more about Silver Lake also?

Silver lake is a lot of fun, but just for us Eastern guys who dont have anything else to choose from. One trip there is plenty for anyone that is closer to another dune area.

Hi Guys! I just got back from a 2 week trip to Utah! I grew up in Colorado and I really thought it was a beautiful state! If you want to ride some outstanding dunes, the Coral Pinks in southern Utah are the most beautiful I have ridden to date! Little Sarah in central Utah are just unbelievable! It would take a couple of weeks to explore them and the trails around them!

Check out the pic's on http://dunereview.com/home.htm
