Are you guys talking about right there next to the vent pipe on the way to the drags? (Well, to the west of Sand Highway?) They used to have a fence up along next to the vent with about a 8' gap over on the west fenceline.
I've never followed anyone from thread to thread! It's pure coincidence! Really! LOL.
I know Parks has a dozer I've seen them out there with. Usually to move sand around the entrances and around the bathrooms. If they are going to let someone out there with a dozer, they should let people drag the flats out there to smooth them out. What's the difference? Hell, it makes the flats safer.

Just came back from Pismo[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img] Didn't see any evidence of a tractor moving any sand. Spent some time watching guys drag race at the strip. Like b&rw said, they sure could use a dozer to smooth the sand there.

i think they do this as a way to break current in the wind. sounds funny but i ve noticed that that particular dune is getting smaller and smaller along with the dunes down wind from this as well.[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-confused.gif[/img] conspiricy theory ?maybe[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-disgusted.gif[/img]
