Well if its anything like mine all you really need is gas i do however run a set of paddle tires on the rear to make going up the higher dunes easier and a set of shark fins on the front to make it turn better i left the stock gearing on it and have plenty to go anywhere in our dunes

I have a Z 400 and after I got paddles (Sandstars) I almost had to be in 2nd gear to go up any kind of hill (I'm also at about 5000 feet in elevation). After I geared the front sprocket down a tooth it helped quite a bit. You can get a front sprocket for less than 20 bucks and it doesn't take long to change it out.

hey there i run geckos on the back of mine and the wife runs sand skates on hers the we run sand stars on on shee and haulers on the other shee and geckos on both majaves i have no complaints on any of them the stars dont really give the shee all it needs to hookup well when drag racing but do everything else well the geckos i use do everything i need them to do the haulers took some regearing to get the shee to pull hard thru the gears and to keep it in the powerband the geckos on the mojaves are just right hope this helps
