Default Glamis on thanksgiving

LOL, my 18 year old cousin who has never been there called to say that she was planning to go with her 2 girlfriends to Glamis.....with no one else and sleep in the car. I told her that I couldn't think of a more completly insane idea than that and told her that if I found out she was up there, I'd personally head up from Gordons Well myself and drag her down there.

It amazes me that they think it would be cool to just head out there to look for guys. Bad news. Now I love Glamis but that's no place for 3 teen rookies. Not by a long shot, and espically alone!

I got back Sunday morning. I have to be honest, Glamis dunes were not that cool until you get way out there. There are some really big dunes when you are way out there. I like the drags but in comparison to the drags at Gordon's well which ones are more fun. Glamis sand drags seem to be more red light green light, and you have to pay to get in. What are the ones at Gordon's well like. Another thing is I really didn't like all the dust at Glamis. It was awful tryin to find your way home from the drags at night.

If you get to the drags at Gordans early its nice. If you get there after they have been going for awhile the sidelines are like 4 deep. On Saturday if you werent in a buggy, you were out. Its funny that on off holiday weekends you dont have anyone to drag against. If you don't like dust dont go to Gordans, it just hovers over the camping area. Just go on a off holiday and its great.

Is the dust at Gordons worse than Glamis.

gordons is worse on the dust factor although the washes at glamis can be comparable.

you have to pay to get into both. the permit fees are designated for the ISDRA not just Glamis. meaning - the whole dune's range camping areas require permits ($$$) in order to camp.
