i hate air boxes!!, got rid of both of mine. i run pod filters on my shee. just stay out of mud and water and you'll be ok. yes you'll have to rejet. no airbox makes it so much easier to get the carbs off!!!

Do you mean take off the air lid or the airbox?
I agree with kawiking. The airbox can be a hassle when working on the carbs. They are restrictive too.Taking off the airbox was one of the first things we done to my wife's banshee.

The two filter set-up is the only one I've ever tried so I'm not sure on that one.I like the two though. My experience though, when you tighten up the two filters just snug them up good.If you tighten them really tight, they can squeeze off the carbs. My 2 cents.

I too use the two filter system. I always put a large zip tie around the filters to hold them together. It serves two purposes. One, it keeps them from rubbing on the frame, and two, they help hold each other on a bit.

I just bought the 2 into 1 filter from toomey. you also need to buy a water bottle bracket when you remove the airbox. Rocky mountain atv has it all real cheap.

The water bottle is useless just ditch it and route the hose down towards the ground. It is not designed to replinish coolant to the radiator,it only serves as a catch basin for coolant.Either air filter setup is a big improvement over the stock airbox.I run the 2 into1 filter on one shee and run the pods on the other. The pods let a little more air thru but the 2 into1 is a little easier to mess with, and it seems like the 2 into1 fits a little better.I am always worried that one of the pods will fall off.......
