Default New dune access campground @ Coos Bay??

Friend of mine said that there was a new dune access campground at Coos Bay.

Anyone know the name of it or have a phone number?

Thanks

Drove that stretch of highway yesterday. I saw sort of construction between the KOA and spinreel. but llok like the first stages. That may be whats hes talking about.

If it's the one I'm thinking of it's just between Horsefalls and the KOA at the old Myrtle Wood factory location. Haven't been there personally but have heard there aren't any hookups.

I've also heard there was camping at the old myrtlewood store/factory.
I'll be down at Coos in 3 weeks, I'll have to check it out.

YOU are correct kind sir.............

It's close to the KOA and uses the same dune access road (Hauser rd.)

It's PARKING LOT camping at its best....LOL

Yes the Myrtle Wood uses it vast parking lot for overnighters with Dune access. There is also another place to camp. Its about a mile north of the KOA. Primative camping on a dirt parking lot with no access. Something called ... Ranch. I have a pic. They want 15 a night.

Some of my friends just got back from Oregon, and yes there is a new camp site being built.... It's supposed to have full hookups. They were told that the biggest hurdle is that a bridge has to be built over the train tracks for dune access. I can't remember where exacty it's being built, but I'm pretty sure they said near the Coos Bay area....
