It's close to the KOA and uses the same dune access road (Hauser rd.)
It's PARKING LOT camping at its best....LOL [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/img]

Yes the Myrtle Wood uses it vast parking lot for overnighters with Dune access. There is also another place to camp. Its about a mile north of the KOA. Primative camping on a dirt parking lot with no access. Something called ... Ranch. I have a pic. They want 15 a night.

New dune access campground @ Coos Bay??
Some of my friends just got back from Oregon, and yes there is a new camp site being built.... It's supposed to have full hookups. They were told that the biggest hurdle is that a bridge has to be built over the train tracks for dune access. I can't remember where exacty it's being built, but I'm pretty sure they said near the Coos Bay area....

ya we are heading to coos bay nex monday (august 14) and sand camping just outside of the KOA dune access road.
LOOK for the big weekend warrior and the two lifted black trucks. Spot 91
anyone else headin there during that time. we are spending five days.
