Everyone needs a whip flag and a helmet. Being from out-of-state you don't need a green or red sticker. You're supposed to have your registration visible on your quad, but nobody does. You might want to have it in your truck in case some ranger asks, not likely. The other thing we "experienced Glamis goers" ask is that you bring your common sense with you as well. We're fighting a serious access problem and have too many wackos making it worse. Have fun and have a save trip.

Yes to the helmet.
You will also need paddles if you want to get out into the soft stuff.
Also, pick up after youselves. There is a huge litter problem out there.
There are new closed areas and we need to respect them or they will close everything. Pick up a map at the ranger station.

NJ to get all the info you will need on Glamis go too http://www.glamisonline.org/index.asp they have a list of all the rule and maps of closed areas. Have a nice trip and keep the rubber side down.

While you are out here, check out Ocotillo Wells. It is about 1 hr. West of Glamis on Hwy. 78. It's a state vehicular recreation area. It has open camping and there are showers at the ranger station. It's desert XC, so bring your regular tires as well as paddles. They have a web site where you can get maps, etc. Just put the name in Hotbot, and you'll come up with something. Enjoy!

Dont forget to put an outerwears cover on your filter. sand will get everywhere!
also it might not be advisable to haul your wood from NJ, but you might wanna stop in phoenix or outskirts on the way and buy some wood for the fire. its expensive at glamis. dont burn pallats, they have nails in em.
if you drink, dont forget to get that before you 0get near glamis, as the prices get higher and i know your paying alot already for gas to get there.
i road tripped it 1400 miles last year from montana alone, and met up with some old friends. had the best time. bring a bbq or try to find some cool neighbors at camp with a bbq. it helps the load you take.
oh yea, dont forget the tp! and maybe a portable john. as the local facilities are normally trashed or rusted.
a good pair of goggles helps with the sand too.
the store there sells plenty of stuff to get you through, but the more you remember now, the more $$$ you save.
have a great time. its well worth the trip.
