NO ONE SHOULD LISTEN TO THIS TEXASDS GUY. HE IS FULL OF IT. HE HAS A WARRIOR THAT HE HAS PAINTED YELLOW, AND HE PUT SOME WALMART STICKERS THAT SAY BOMBARDIER ON IT. HE WILL DENY THIS TO NO END.

The sand robs you of horsepower, so any kind of engine mods will help!!! You might consider gearing changes too. Of course, paddles (on a light rim!). I like Skat-Trak Edges (6 or 8 paddle). I think it is worth getting buffed down tires in front, because they are so much lighter than an XC tire. I like Mohawks vs. the smooth buffed. I havn't done much else that is sand specific to my 400. I go to the dunes for AIR TIME. I don't rip around much like everybody else. I just use the steep back sides as jumping ramps-and I fly all day!!

My roommate has got a 400. The DMC double barrel and K&N filter w/170 jet (no airbox lid) made a huge difference in Glamis. I used to smoke him with my lt250r now I don't have a chance. I was beating a raptor at the drags with the 400 on easter weekend. He is going for the duncan 440national kit over this summer.
