If money is no object, I would call Sand Tires Unlimited and ask them to competition groove me a set of tires. They will build you something that is EXACTLY what you want.

If that is out of your price range, I've had excellent performance from my skate traks. I wouldn't go more than 8 paddles on the edges or haulers. Sand Sports Magazine did test years back and liked 11-paddle gliders.

Enjoy that 400.

I own both a LT500R and a 400EX and I was running a pair of 8 paddle haulers on my 500 and it hooked up good, since then I purchased 12 paddles for the 500 and put the 8p haulers on my 400EX (stock), and I find that the 400EX performs great with these paddles, will shoot up any hill I point it at. But everyone in here is right I wouldn't run anything bigger on the 400.

Big difference between a stock 2-stroke and stock 4-stroke. Not really a fair comparison.

ZOO,
I agree, but someone earlier in the thread said only stroked banshees and built quadzillas can run ten paddles. No way would I even attempt to run more than 8 on a 400ex..

Roostking is right his shee will turn tens easily. I guess sometimes I figure most guys on shee's w/ paddles are into hillshooting. That being said, if you are into hillshooting my above statement applys Big-time. My observation. Your engine will bog w/ tens on our hill, Sand Mtn at LS Utah, but in the bowls it would be fine.
