Well...... I have to say that everyone that I met was more than friendly...
Park
Dean the park manager was great as with the rest of the rangers. He was very happy with the event and asked that I brought it back or made it an anual event for Little Sahara. The dunes were very predictable, and lots of fun. The amount of endless trails were also a blast, but gets a lil scary if someone else comes around one of the tight corners in front of you.
Local Business'
Again I cant say enough about how friendly everyone was. Ampride has great food, as with Millers Cafe'. The Oasis was great for a dune break and easily accessable by quads. I regret not getting over to Cafe' Bahnohf (excellent german food). A few from the group made it there for dinner and said they got excellent service and the food was even better.
All in all it was an excellent weekend and everyone went home in one piece. We were able to raise 300.00 for the firefighters fund in NY city. I hope to go back to Little Sahara again but my next dune trip is going to be Glamis again or maybe Dumont.
We will be back Little Sahara!

LS was a blast! The dunes are very easy to ride, no hidden drop off's or witches eyes like at Glamis. I was amazed to see that most of the duners would ride the dunes in a straight line, what fun is that? I think some caught on to the 'California riding style' (as some locals put it)of carving huge 'S' turns from dune to dune.
Anyway had a great time!

I can't explain the why behind the "straight on " approach to climbing a dune. I agree with the "sweeping" and swooping from dune to dune. Makes for great fun with five or six riders doing a "follow the leader" bit.. Even if I just want to top a taller dune I will climb at an angle just in case the power fails me and I need to dive to the bottom... I will be looking forward to your in depth write up on the trip..

It's certainly NOT in depth but here it is:
I wonder what kind of controversy this will stir up https://atvconnection.com/atvconnect...stfest2001.cfm
