Front and rear? I would think you would want the fronts pumped up so they float across the sand. But how much air. I usually run the recomended 4.5 lbs in my regular tires. And I have no idea what would be better on the rears. I have Sand Skate IIs on a Raptor with CT racing pipe/K&N/Jet kit! What's the best setup for racing in soft sand? I usually don't have a traction problem. It's usually too much traction, and wheelies off the line.
Thanks!

With sand skate II too get less traction add more air pressure. This will let the tires spin more. Try 6 or 7 lbs of air.

I've run from 3 Lbs to 7 Lbs on my Banshee depending on what the sands like. Lower pressures usually provide more traction. I agree with BillDS650 to put more air in the tires (6-7 Lbs). That will allow you to buzz (spin) the tires more, and so hook-up less. For the fronts I'd run about 5 Lbs maybe 6.

From what I've heard, it is actually better to run lower air pressure in the front in order for them to "float" on top of the sand.

I personally am running 2 1/2 lbs of air pressure in my rear 9-paddle haulers, but I ride a 2-stroke, and don't have a problem getting lots of wheel-spin and getting on top of the sand.

My advice would be to experiment on your own and see what works best for you.

you have to change them depending on how much moisture is in the sand
