A sand virgin here, I got a few ?'s...

Hey guys,
Im making my 1st trip to some dunes this weekend. I have never rode or been around sand with my quad yet. Is there any special prepping I need to do to my bike? I have heard that everything needs to be free of grease, like your chain, bushings, etc. Is this true? I dont own or have access to any paddle tires, so it looks like I will be running Razrs this weekend. Will these tires carry me around the dunes ok? Any other info you guys can share with a newcomer would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Grease your quad just clean off any extra that gets by the seals & when you get back regrease all fittings to force out any sand that may have got past your seals.
You don't want to use oil or a sticky lube on your chain but you don't want to leave it dry either, use a dry lube.
wash your quad to remove all sand regrease all fittings & relube chain you'll be OK.
you may struggle a bit with the Razers but it won't stop you from having fun. If you enjoy the sand invest in a good set of paddles like Extreme haulers (great forward traction for drag racing & hillclimbs but harder turning) Or angled paddles (fair forward traction good turning ability).
Have fun, Ride safe & be warned sand is addictive!!
