Zoo, thanks for the feedback. If they can handle the 'Zill then my little banshee shouldn't be too much for them. Personally, I think the paddles look like they will hook well but we'll see.

Are you planning on getting to Walden before Memorial Day?

WyoDuner, I wish I could get up there before Memorial day, unfortunately my job dictates that I won't. In fact I would live on the dunes if I could, I need a sand fix soon. Hope to see you up there...

WyoDuner;
Be sure to give us a report on the tires, AND your trip to St. Anthony!!

I am going there in June, and really want to try out"choke cherry"!!
I have seen lots of pics, and it looks like my kind of hill climb!

Zoo, It's a pretty long haul from Colorado Springs. Too bad Walden is the closest sand that you can ride on... They need to open up the Great Sand Dunes National Monument to ATVs.. That place would be fun.

2fun, I'll definately let you all know how the cheapie paddles perform. If you haven't already seen it, I have a lot of photos and info on St. Anthony on my site; other dunes too.

Yea, it's about a 4 hour drive, but it is worth it, I usually try to make it there 3 to 4 times a year.

Don't fret think of the floppyness as away of your tires growing in height, with more rpm, to give you more top end without the loss on bottom.

Sounds good right?

Another consideration from GBC: Paddle Masters

A slightly different straight design with every other paddle broken up into two separate paddles instead of just one straight across. The two shorter separate straights also are a little more cupped and moved slightly more to the outside edge of the tire. Not too many write-ups about them that I know of yet. Supposed to be good for snow too. I think RMATV sells them for about $49 a tire.

if your into drag racing the haulers are a must. the sand devils will out last them 3 times or more.

I live near the Oregon Dunes and Dune Hoppers are found few are far between here. Personally I don't think they give enough bite. My father-in-law's Banshee has the Extremes for sand tires and they give major hook-up and throw a serious roost (not that I've turned and tried to see my roost--since Dirt Wheels says that ain't cool, right)? Also on the front of the 'shee is some new "Dune King" ribbed tires. I know everyone says straight paddles are hard to turn but with those Dune Kings on the front that Banshee turns on a dime. Pretty impressive.
