i have a 88 zilla that is stock except for a fmf pipe and silencer, v-force delta reeds and a 39 pwk carb. i am trying to figure out if i should go with a 20-10-10 8 or 9 paddle skat trak extreme, or a 22 inch tire with the same amount of paddles, i like to drag race and hill climb. any of you zilla owners have the tire size and amount of paddles figured out? skat trak says to go with the 7 or 8 paddle 20-10-10 extreme. any help would be appreciated.

I am a BIG believer in 22" paddles. Personally, I think 20" paddles are just for the smaller machines. I would go with 22" 8 paddle tires. Straight not V.

You will hook better out of the hole with 10 paddles but they really do slow you down a lot on top. The 8 paddles will lose some hook-up of the start but will definately be faster after that.

I recently switched to 22" 8 paddles from 20" 10 paddles and am very happy with the change. With fewer paddles I was able to keep my gearing the same; I can still pull 6th in the sand like I did with the 20" tires except now I am going quite a bit faster when I do it.

I hope this helps.
