I think you need reservations on holiday weekends, and there is a big fine if you don't have them??????? I would call before going.

If you don't have a reservation you probably won't even be allowed on the beach. This is one of their busiest weekends and they have been booked for about 3 months. Don't waste your time go next weekend and it should be fairly empty!

I went last year without reservations and had to pay a $65 fine for 1 day. Trust me, I wanted Pismo for the climate over Dumont, but I wont pay the fine. You don't need a scout. It only takes 10 minutes to get around Pismo thanks to all those tree hugging faggetts.

The fine has gone up considerably. It's now a $270.00 fine!!! While I was their over the 4th they came around and nailed up signs to that effect. ("illegal camping $270.00 fine&quot. I heard the amount was increased because too many people were violating it and paying the fine, so they figured it was too low and raised it up. Also, I heard that they (the state) can/will catch heck from the costal commision anytime they exceed the 1000 reservations max. If they continuously exceed the max that could ultimately be another nail in the coffin for the tree huggers in their effort to get the beach closed down.

See, that is what the echo's do here in Kalifonia....close all the riding areas so the ones that are left get over crowded...now they have an excuse to close what is left. UHHHHHHGGG!!!
