when ya get fed up, come on up to oregon where the park service collects fees and the State Police take care of the *******! and these bulls all look and act like they learned it from R Lee Ermey, from mail call!
we have inshore dunes too, actually 300 miles inshore, on the edge of the desert.
better than ridin around in the yard.
...and there are a lot of armed people in this state, cuz we believe that ' an armed society is a polite society.' and thats a fact.
PM me i'll give ya directions....the little ***** ya have down there tried their game here a couple years ago and left....

Yes to every single one of the above answers The kick in the a$$ was when some people actually defended those with the illegal drugs. What you do in your HOUSE is your business, what you do in the DUNES is everyones business. It only gives the greenies that much more ammo. Riding can be dangerous enough without some idiot high on drugs tryng to plow you over.

I am 23 years old and not a partier and I have always been pissed of at those against us duners. Then I go ride my quad the day after a holiday and see nothing but alcohol bottles, cans, wood left over from fires, and garbage all over at night gathering areas. It looks like **** and it pisses me off. I see why the bastards are trying to shut us down. When I go out to ride it is to have fun. All I know is that this has to stop and if my riding areas get closed off there is going to be some serious as$whooping going on. They even provide huge dumpsters to leave your garbage at. Every busy holiday someone dies and 90% of the time it was because some as$ was drunk.

This is what we do about it. Petition the BLM or whoever is in charge of the rideing areas to charge admission. It will pay for the policeing of the areas with more Rangers to combat these fools. You don't like it, I don't like it. But without money they can't do it.

Uglyman32 We should know soon when the BLM release the RAMP for the dune. On the big weekend you will see more police. They are even talking on putting the big hills off-limits when the sun goes down. They are going to ban any alcohol in the dunes. Just keep track with the ASA .

One of the best things that We can do as Duners is to police ourselves. By that I mean pack out what we bought and fill an extra trash bag from around our camp. That would make a huge diferance. The other thing is in Huntington Beach they hve this earth mover thingy, that racks the sand and picks up things as small a cigerette buts. If the ASA could get one of them it would only take a couple of hours to clean up after the knuckleheads have left.
I've been there when it's just a bunch of youngsters with 8 people in the back of a truck all drunk and screaming. The BLM has been giving tickets for DUI and that should help. They also charge for camping. They passed a law in 1995 that 80% of any money collected out of one of the parks has to stay to improve the park where the money was collected.
I rarly go on the big weekends, I don't need the potential agrovation.
