I think I would look really hard at the 21x12x8 8-paddles, would maybe be a little lighter than the 10(if I am correct), and a little better ride. They will not turn all that well, but if you are looking for go straight traction, they would be the ticket, better than the sand skates I do believe...JMO. Moose....would you agree?

WP, If you want to do some drag racing, I would think twice about the Sand Skate IIs or any other V paddle for that matter. Granted, the Vs should turn and slide a lot better better but if you want out of the hole hook-up then straight paddles like the Haulers/Extreme Haulers are the way to go. I read the review on the paddles and was pretty surprised by how well the Vs did in that test.

From observation, I have seen over and over and over ANY straight paddle always hooking up better than ANY V paddle. If you're racing on the beach and the sand is damp it may not be a big deal with the extra hook of the wet sand but is the soft/dry sand the straight paddles will provide the best bite.

Also, 10 paddles is a LOT of paddle to pull around. I never realized how much they slow you down until I switched to 8 paddles on my Banshee.

This may be a stupid question, but how are paddles in the mud? Do they sling it more than push you? do they make bigger paddles than 22" jobs?

Just a stupid thought.

Hay, if you were doing strictly a mud race, a good hard compound tire like the sand skates or sand sharks would work I would think. Everyone else better stand back, though. I bet it would sling mud everywhere LOL. Bubba

Default 10 Paddle Haulers?

10 paddle Haulers are ment for sand drag racing. You can use them for duning but they don't turn for $hit.

You need a lot of HP to turn the 10 tires.

I disagree & agree,
First off I have no problems turning with my Extreme Haulers & Mohawks, you just have to transfer some weight to the front tires first, If you try to turn under power yes then it'll be difficult to turn with no weight on the front end.
You need front sand tires like Mohawks with the Haulers so the front can get a bite.

Yes I agree you need a lot of HP to run 10 paddles.
