It won't be anything official since it's BLM land. Well I won't be racing, but I don't mind watching. Quite a show to say the least.. Crankenstein did 90mph last year up the "Face". Should be some fast fast quads. All I know is when K&T runs the Cranker the action stops and people listen..

 

I might come down, just to watch and of course ride.

If so, probably camp over at oasis and take the truck over to the hill. How crowded is it compared to labor day or memorial usually? I did not go last easter, but was there memorial day and labor day. Memorial day was much more crowded then labor day. At least at oasis. We drove the truck over on labor day to watch the hill shooting. But it was windy and not really fun.

Might make it, probably wont decide until it gets closer.

Easter will have the most people by far and the baddest machines also.. 25,000 people or so. Lots of undercover cops who will simply walk up to under age looking people and ask for an ID and write them a ticket on the spot for drinking or smoking or just to see if your quad is registered. They (12 or so cops) wait at the pay booth and check for quad and vehicle registration and open container. They've had a holding tank at the entrance on some years for the trouble makers.. If you're legal and responsible you're fine.

 

I'm more then legal, and also responsible, If I go it would be with the family, wife and son.

Not sure yet, but as it nears I will have to decide. I am not big on the crowds, so might not make it. Might hit my local dunes, it is pretty quite out there.

I'll be there. I'll camp at Oasis. Probably get there Friday and leave Sunday - short trip.

 

Shoot,, I was going to go, but Im not responsible LOL... Anyhow, Im camping at the hill. I hear its quite a ride from the Campground to the dunes.. One more thing.. Why would someone who owns a fully contained trailer stay so far away from the action??? Thats the point of self contained, you dont need hookups.

Are you here to ride, or use unlimited water?? Lets go people. Cowboy up and lets hang at the hill!!

The hill is dusty, crowded, noisy with no trees or shade or anything.

Oasis is only 4 miles away, has paved parking spots, trees, BBQ pits, picnic tables, etc....

It's up to you. I'll take Oasis.

 

Oh. Shoot! Hmm well see. The problem is, 4 miles eats up quite a bit of gas, just to get to the dunes. Thats like going from the washes to Gecko, where we went for the sand drags that day) I dont see being able to get much riding in if you have to make that trip both ways. What is the weather like in Utah at that time? And remember this year Wyo, youve got an awning!

No I sam not. I am not a hillshooter and Sand Mtn Nevada has a hill and that's basically it. I want to roam around and watch the show and just hangout w/ friends off the connection.. I don't ride as much when there is big crowds. To many pit racers showing off. One person usually dies every year on Easter weekend and it's alcohol related or no helmet or both...
