New England Dunes
Bing, I never heard about Indiana Dunes... If you could ride them I would probably know about them unless they are a really well kept secret.
From Maine it is a LONG way to half decent dunes. You have Silver Lake but that's not so good from what I know. Little Sahara, OK better than Silver Lake but still only about 1500 acres. Go south to Kermit, TX for better dunes and a lot more space. Still, best bet is to head to Idaho for St. Anthony - best dunes in the country as far as I'm concerned. It's just a really LONG drive.
The East coast is not a good place for duning unfortunately. There is sand in NJ but it's all illegal to ride and it's not exactly dunes - just sandy soil.
