Default sand mountain........20 bucks?

Just got back from sand mt. and got hit for a $20 to ride for the weekend. What the h*ll,u have to buy a week pass or a year pass for $45. Whats wrong with a day to day pass, is that so much to ask for! Just my 2 cents.

We get charged 8 bucks a day or 75 for a yearly pass at LS, Utah. We have lots of bathrooms, running water, dump station and very very clean dunes. At least the money goes toward something.. They should put it toward the dunes in the near future if they are wanting a fee..

I just got back also. It was nice not that many people but 20 bucks for what? There were still people hauling azz through camp but do you see a ranger NNNOOOOO!!!! I thought thats what the $20 was for, is to knock down on the stupid people. Just one camp over from us there was a guy who was going back to his camp hauling Azz and bailed off his bike on a little jump and the bike went into this other guys camp! The LT 500 at about 30 MPH crashed into a new 02 Warrior and a 02 Raptor. The Warrior suffered a bent axle, A-arms ,Rims and a lot of other stuff. The two bikes that were hit were sitting in there camp!!!! I thought our money went to keeping stuff like this for happening. It is not different that before except my wallet is $20 lighter.

Well what little I did the Drag racing went good, Didn't find a four stroke that could beat me! I wish there was more quads to race oh well maybe next time.

Lowbowtie, man nothing pi$$es me off more than those morons that have hundreds or thousands of acres of dunes to race on and they decide they need to do it right around camp.

Anyhow, $20 does seem a little steep especially if you are only there for the weekend.

Lowbowtie:

Are you going out again this weekend? We should have a couple 4-strokes in our camp that could give you a pretty good run for your money.

As for the $20 and the Rangers, etc. I think we have to be realistic. Most of us are buying an annual pass but, lets say 5/weekend do the $20 thing. That is only $100 to suppor a full time ranger??? Can't make the numbers work for a slow weekend. Expect more rangers on busy weekends but, don't expect much this time of year. Especially if like you say, not many people there.

As for the guy that wrecked the LT500 - hope they got pictures to show he crashed into their camp to get him to pay for things.

i havent been to sand mountain, so i dont know the exact conditions of everything, but... if the campiste is included, 20 dollars is a pretty good deal. lots of state parks here in michigan charge 10-12 bucks a night per site and only allow 2 cars at any campsite. if the 20 is per person or per machine though, i could understand the complaint.

Isn't it funny how everyone can justify spending $400 on an exhaust system and jetting, over $2 a gallon drive out there and now its....WHA WHA WHA WHAT! Money to ride my million dollar quad...but I'm to cheap! As long as they spend the money on the campgrounds etc....Glamis used most of thier money buying the Rangers a bunch of overpriced buggies and lifted trucks. And why do they have big lifted trucks? I'm not sure?
