Me and the boys decided to break out the old 250X frame and slap my R6 motor in it. The R6 is not final cause I think I can fix my bike, but my neighbor said he would sell me his wrecked 600 Ninja for 150 bucks. Thats probably what we'll wind up doin. Too bad it won't be ready for snake hunt. The record at the local 300 foot drag is 58 mph, we are gonna smoke that. Pics for everyone when its done.

Oh yeah, KID
You must own a tig welder, lathe, bridgeport, vertical band saw, belt sander and tooling for equipment. A mechanical engineering degree would also be helpfull!!
I cant wait to see this cobbled up mess!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well I bought the Ninja motor and did a little research. Stock this motor has about 105 hp at the real wheels. This is impressive hill smokin power. We are bound and determined to do this. It should definately be done by SandFest in October. Is there a class for a quad like this? Or am I wasting my time? Any way you slice it, this thing is gonna have to be a blast top drive. Later guys, keep checking back here for follow ups on this project. Help keep me motivated.

Calm down aksledder, why the offense toward the project? If buzz440 pulls it off that will be a wicked ride. Maybe some machine work will be required, no doubt some ingenuity will be.Some free time and $$$ can make for an awesome ride.

if small block engines work in motorcycles, then this should be a moderate project for anyone mechanicly inclined. just take you time, make good measurements & be a good welder!

Alright, there has been a change of plans. We are chunking the 350X frame idea and going with a Honda 300 4X4 frame. These are stronger in the areas we were concerned about, adds weight to the front end, and has better sprocket alignment. It will work and it will haul A$$
