Rodehog, Straight paddles like you have now are what you need at St. A. In the summer when it is dry that is some SOFT sand.- steep to. Not just 1 or 2 steep hills but everyting is steep once you get into the bigger dunes. There are a lot of places regular sport quads cannot go.
Extreme Haulers are probably the best paddle for pure hook-up and throwing a big roost. They are expensive though. I switched to the cheap molded Cheng Shin paddles and am happy with their hook-up and I can climb anything at St. Anthony with them. It sounds like you have similar tires. Look on them and let us know what they are.

Wyo is right on-the hills at St A's sound long and steep and if the sand is fluffy you will need haulers (or "extreme" haulers-same paddle dimension but stronger paddle material). Wyo help me out here, but I would say around a 20-22" diameter and 7-8 paddles depending on your motor mods. You may also want to drop 1 tooth on your counter sprocket (haulers require lots of power). I am just going on my experiance and do not have experiance with St. A's so Wyo and some other guys may have better knowelage of the area and conditions. Good luck !!!
