Here's where I'm camping today, my daughters new home in Medford Oregon.

I'll be here for about a week then off to the sandy beaches on the coast.

I've always dreamed about riding my ATV on a beach. I can't wait.

Its still fun on someone else's ATV but never as fun as riding your ATV.
While I was trying to catch up with the young guys on their Scrambler 1000's the day you rode with us, I was thinking, "Now I wouldn't mind trying out one of their machines." Last night we went to Hoovers and rode back. Moose One, my son, let me use his Scrambler. Rode it for a good bit and handed it off to him. Must have got a hole in it when I was riding. When I handed it off to him it was okay. A minute later it wasn't. Kept wondering what was taking them so long to get back to town. Went back out and found them with the flat tire. Fixed it on the trail. He was less than appreciative that I plugged it well. Some people have no gratitude.

He could have punctured it in the first few inches after you gave it back to him

He said they were hanging around for a couple minutes waiting for Paul Sr. to catch up and noticed it. I thought he had a patch kit. Good thing I didn't go back to the cabin.

That's why I hauled my '98 out there for the Jam few years back. Sure I could have rented something newer and bigger, but I know mine and what it's capable of and didn't have to learn a 4x4 or differential switch and such. Didn't cost me anything either.

SPECTA your still on here after 15 years!!! If you make your way up to northern Oregon swing past for a beer, my 01 Rubicon is still showroom new- other than carb issues. Lots has changed, is Honda out of the sport quad market? First time visiting this thread in over a decade, what quad do you prefer these days? is the new Rubicon anything good, or is the grizz still the only choice for a fast ult quad?

Specta's new steed is a Kawasaki Brute Force 750. He smiles a lot more when he pins the throttle now.
