660' time 3.05 @ 268mph
it reaches terminal velocity of 336.15 at 905'
at the point the dragster reaches terminal velocity the Stock car has traveled 1056' and has a 151' lead at 3.6 seconds
the dragster Passes the stock car at 4.355 seconds going 336.15 at 1278'

I have an excel spreadsheet with the data all broke out to the .001 seconds where both cars are on the track at all times.

freebird, didn't mean to hijack your thread.
I agree about the ball & stick sports. It's very... 'MTV urban' in a way. But I've never seen an F1 or WRC driver grab his crotch or anything like that. But when you say Nascar puts on a show, that's what I'm talking about. I don't believe a driver would drive slower to make it more interesting. I believe Nascar does lines things up to make it more interesting. Late race cautions for no reason.... Anyway to each his own. I guess I was just shocked. It was like you might have put how rap music blows, then I say yeah it does, then you would be like no I really like it. I was really blown away you were serious.

True, I've never seen an F1 driver disrespect any fans. They are probably as serious about their sport as our NASCAR boys, but, can you pronounce any of their names??? Can you pull for any of them because they are from your home town or home state, or were raised with the same ideals as your own?
freebird, I do apologize, I just found curious the amount of folks who said "the nascar" and "a nascar" when stockcar would have been the proper terminology. It all rolled down hill from there. I'm no mathmatician (sp), just passionate about real racing. But to answer your question, the dragster does not pass the stockcar, he wrecks going in to turn three!

In F1 I pull for Honda & American Scott Speed! Now that's a race car driver name if I've ever heard one. Except Dick Trickle. I must admit I do like Dale Jr. Mostly for the way he handled himself after his dads death. I thought he showed class & restraint with those media clowns. I must admit I do watch the road course races. That is interesting.
