Default 05 400 Cat in water

My FIS 400 Auto has been acting up lately when I hit water the engine wants to stall like its vapour locking as result of sudden cool down. Thought it was the intake system around air box but sealed it and still wants to bog out. Once cool it goes ok but when engine runs warm and hits that water, even just up to the bottom of engine it acts up.

Anyone run into this issue?

I would guess that you are getting the ignition wet. You probably have an exposed connection somewhere.

i would check ignition, the piston block bolts, and i think it probably is vapor lock.

ive heard of a vacuum hose causing this type of issue. Most of them were on the prowler. once they got into water it would want to stall out, pop, and run rough. Once out of the water it would run fine.
