I have a 2007 Honda Rincon and it steers pretty easy for not having power steering. My dad just got two new Honda Rancher 420ATs with power steering, and I must say, after riding those, my next quad will have it. Not that you have to have it, but it just makes riding that much more relaxing. The best part is that it stops the bars from being yanked when you hit a rock or root. I love my Rincon, and will keep it until the Rincon comes out with power steering, and then I'll trade up.

I've talked to a couple guys with the Grizzly 700 with EPS. They love it. Personally, I like the workout the steering gives me when I'm out on the trails but I'm considered odd... The guys also mentioned that the EPS was great for cutting some of the harsh feedback when you jam a tire into a rock or tree.

I think I'll go test drive the rincon and recon today.

I just love the power steering on my xp 850. It makes all the difference in the world. I can ride for 10 hours and don't get sore in the arms and shoulders. You can actually ride down a fairly rough trail with just one hand on the steering. That is how little effort the steering requires. I was riding dirt roads on the weekend at 60 mph + while drinking a coke. I strongly suggest you test drive the bikes with power steering before you buy the Honda.

You are absolutely right!, I just test rode (and bought) 2 new 550 grizzlies with power steering and its super smooth and relaxing, the difference is night and day. The king quad was sweet but no power steering. The grizz had everything I wanted plus I got 2 of them for 13,000 (yamaha financing with 0 down and no payments for 6 months) I just need to pay for them this summer..lol.

Also I want to add that I chose not to get the honda cause they lack features big time. I wanted the polaris xp 550 bad but the dealer up here dont really have their act together like northeren power sports, but the xp is a beautiful machine with awesome styling. My three favorite options for these beasts are power steering / IRS / and EFI. Anyway they are on there way to my house right now with both of them (natural Spam wordSpam word Spam wordSpam word Spam wordSpam word Spam wordSpam word Spam wordSpam word Spam wordSpam word ) so I'll sign off and go blasting around on them!!

To me EPS is just as important to me now that I have it on my quad as it is on my truck and car. I simply would not be without it. The benefits are endless to me. I can ride all day without having any tired arm/shoulder issues, the steering dampening is actually the best part of it. I can hit logs, stumps, rocks, ruts or whatever and not once have I ever had the handlebars jerked, and I ride in extreme conditions. Once you ride with it you won't want to be without it is my bet.
