Haaaa! Love it.

I was strapped with the name Bruce care of my loving parents who did not realize the deep psychological scares it would cause their 4th born that are with me to this day. In addition with having many classmates singing the ELO song "Bruce" to me I was called anything that rhymed with Bruce. Goose, Loose, Goosey, Juice, etc. The only one that stuck was Moose, given my 6'3" stance with about the same waistline. (Thankfully, that part is not true) Payback came in the form of High School graduation when the other 596 graduates chanted Moose, Moose, Moose, when I went to get my HS diploma. But, being stubborn parents that they were they still refused my request for a name change.

I'm a steamfitter, I'm bitter. 'Nuff said.
Seriously, I stole it from a buddy, also a fitter. His log on for some auction site was bitterfitter, but he's a sled guy, and not into quads, so I stole it. And it's still better than my real nickname, which is blackfinger. Long story there.

Out of 10-15 guys on one job 3 of us were named Frank. We got nickmamed so people would know which one they're talking about. They called me Big Frank and the other guys were Little Frank and Old Frank. I thought about using Big Frank as my username but thought Jumbo Frank sounded funny.

I was always a diehard chevy fanboy that couldn't leave a car stock, and couldn't keep skins on the rims. Its a nic that everyone used to call me back in the day.

For the LTR 450I it was named "Sand Hog" by the wife who always rides behind me in the Mojave desert thus the "Sand" part of the name and The "Hog" part came about partially because I'm a retired Cop and because the wife had started complaining after I put the racing tires on the quad because I was throwing granite pea gravel and sand at her like a rooting pig when she got within about 20ft to my back end. So the Wife decided that my new bike was to be called the "Sand Hog" and it stuck.

My LTZ250 is called the "Ghost Rider" partially because its snow white (most of the time) with no graphics other than the racing logos on the front fenders and the other part is because its had four riders on it, the quad has thrown three of the four out of the seat at least once and attempted to crack the ribs of the fourth when he took it nose down over a low jump landing nose first throwing the rider into the handle bars. I was thrown off the back landing flat on my back with it standing on end nose up balanced on back tires and grab bar in front of me, The wife was on it when it rolled while she was backing up on a hill to turn around throwing her out of the seat injuring her shoulder and the first day my daughter rode it she got stupid punched into fourth gear even though I told he not to and rolled it over skidding face first and face down on full face helmet and body armor for about 20ft until the face of the helmet dug in and then she started rolling through the gravel and sand on a pole line road. I thought it was really funny looking watching the person who bragged about running big 400cc dirt bikes on a Moto Track with the "Big Dogs" in Alabama eating some Mojave sand on her first day out. After that she finally fessed up that she was not riding 400cc dirt bikes she was riding little 400 series mini bikes and a little ATC 50. I told her that was just plain stupid to do that because she could have killed herself because of her bragging, she no longer brags and now listens to her dad when he tells her how to ride in the sand.

after it was all said and done I named it "Ghost Rider" because I never know when I'm going to see the quad going down a trail with no rider on it again.

The wife named her quad "Safron" because its Suzuki yellow ?? Go figure its her bike she can call it whatever she wants..It's also the slowest of the three bikes so now all the "Cherry" riders get on her bike so they don't kill themselves on the faster bikes.

Default Embarasingly simple

I am almost embarassed at how little thought I put into it. I read something while lurking and really wanted to ask a question, so I just went right away to join. When it asked me for my user name I thought, "huh, hadn't thought about that... so I just made up the quickest, my initials PBL and my new 450 quad (a KQ). Oh, got great answers too. Thanks to all here!
