Default Grip brand recommendations

My grips are worn out. My hands get black from the rubber coming off. I'm looking to replace them. Not looking for anything special (i.e. heated, flames, chrome, etc.) Can anyone recommend a good brand of grips that has some harder compound that will not do this?

Thanks,
Kevin

Tag makes excellent grips, just look in a Dennis Kirk or Rocky MT ATV catalog, you will see hundreds of them. I am a real fan of Oury grips, big, sticky blocks that are very soft and comfortable for long rides, there are literally too many to name, they come in soft, medium and hard compounds, some will even mix them for a softer finger area, but a harder, longer wearing palm contact area. Your local dealer should have some examples on hand, that will give you an idea of what is out there.

I've used Pro-Grip and have been happy so far. You can usually choose how firm or soft of a compound you wish to use too. They look nice as well.

Spider grips, and never look back. I've heard good things about Oury as well.

Whatever grip feels good for your type of riding is what to go with. I personally like many of the aftermarket grips, but I always wear gloves when riding no matter what. I remember riding without them and I was much more concerned with finding a better grip when I didn't wear good riding gloves. To me it makes all the difference.
