Grizzly vs Rincon
#1
I'm looking at buying (used) either a 660 Grizzly or a 680 Rincon. I curently have a Honda Rancher and it has served me well, But I am looking to up grade to a better ( smother ride ). I know Honda's are bullet proof, but I hear Yamaha's are just as good. So let's hear it.

Grizzly i have pounded the **** out of mine. I have swamped it 8 times. Where talking cylinder tight with muddy sandy water. I have 3300 miles on it and it still runs great. One thing i would do right a way is snorkle the clutch.

Honda makes a GREAT long lasting bike but as with most Honda's they are under powered and under optioned. The Grizz simply outclasses the Rincon (and IMO just about every other bike out there) in every aspect except maybe the ride in which case I think they are about equal.

Grizzly will be a smoother ride. It has more travel on the IRS and is almost as comfortable to ride as a Polaris Sporstman. Grizzly will be a touch more tippy than the Rincon because it has a slightly higher ride height. As said above, Grizzly has a full locker in front, good engine braking system, and was the first with power steering available.

I've owned three Grizzly 660s and a Rincon. No question on this one, get the Grizzly. The Grizzly is far more capable of making it through extreme terrain than the Rincon, and is more reliable as well. Our Rincon spent a total of 9 weeks in the shop for repairs in the one year we owned it. None of our Grizzlys ever went back to the dealer for anything. Plus, the transmission in the Rincon is just plain stupid. It never ever feels like it is in the right gear, and the ATV just never builds any power. The Rincon is the biggest dog ever for a big bore ATV.
