I'm new here, so I must introduce myself! Been lurking for a while and seems like a good group of smart fellas here so thought I'd throw out a question! Just new to the ATV world. I came across a deal I couldn't pass up and ended up with a 96 Kawasaki KLF300 4x4. It runs great and is a good little machine. I've recently installed a Superwinch LT2000 with a homemade mount plate. The only ones I could find were all external and I wanted the winch hidden...Anyway, I found Gorilla's website while searching for wireless winch controls and lo and behold they had one for fairly cheap that is 'universal'. Well, I installed it (install was simple) and hit the wireless switch. It worked sporadically for a few seconds, then ALL the smoke from the wires leaked out! Ended up buring up the 80amp relays in the 'contactor' assembly. Gorilla (or Promark as they are now) will not cover it because they say I installed it with a non-compatible winch! I must not understand the term 'universal'. Any thoughts or ideas out there? Thanks!
