I always thought the Tecumseh's were better runners than Briggs & Stratton's, at least the ones I've owned. I guess late '08 was the last of the American made Tecumseh's... too bad

My vote would be for the plow, unless you have a lot of tight spaces or sidewalks. If he enjoys four wheeling, he'll love plowing, whereas removing snow with a snow blower will always be just another chore.
