Default honda or yamaha

I am in the market for a new ATV. My buddies have the sportsman 500 HO, renegade 800, and YFZ450. I was at the local dealer and I can get either the Yamaha wolverine 450 or the Honda 700xx for $5000 out the door. I live in michigan so I need a quad that can handle snow but I like to jump too. Any thoughts on either of these 2 quads since I have not rode either one of them. I am worried that the wolverine will be underpowered and the 700xx will suck in the snow, but would like the 4x4 of the wolverine and love to speed of the 700xx.

My choice is obvious but you are comparing apples to oranges here. There no doubt the XX is a faster more comfy machine but the Wolvy will be a better All-around machine with it 4x4 capability.

That is the way I was kind of leaning too but I have never rode one before and didn't know if it would keep up with friends quads or know how it would handle some abuse.

The Wolvy should do OK just don't expect it to win many races!

Not sure but my guess is they would be very similar mainly due to the weight of the Sportsman.

True, the wolverine is almost 200lbs lighter. I wish I had the $$$ for the renegade but dang that is way to much money.

If the raptor was an option with the 700xx and Wolverine would you pick it? Knowing that you would be riding in the snow 4 months a year.
