Default Why don't more atvs have a handlebar headlight?

I like having a headlight on the handlebars, and I'm looking at getting a different atv but the ones I want don't have a hb headlight, just wondering some of your input. Thanks

At least one reason is the replacement cost after a crash. Even a light rollover could ruin the light if it is handlebar mounted. If you want something up there, I would look aftermarket for a solution. I prefer handlebar mounted lights for night riding myself.

There is a handlebar mounted work light they call it and I seen it in the product review section, it was on the CUSTOMIZING BAYOU 300 4X4 review but they didn't say what kind it was or where you could find one? Anyone know?

Polaris Scramblers had them up into 2009. Dual headlight on the handlebar.

I have to agree. Just baught a new Arctic Cat TRV and with the size of this thing a light would be great. You would think that the larger quads would just add them anyway...

I don't really use the high beam on our handlebars too much. Mostly because I'm carrying extra gear in a rigid bag or box on the front rack and the light would just shine right into it.

They don't put them on the bars because when you monut a front cargo bag the light becomes useless, so they mount them near the front bumper. It would be nice to have both a bar light and the bumper lights though.
