Default Am *I* out of touch with used ATV prices....

......or is this seller.

i have for sale a 93 bayou 300 4x4 this machine runs great and has just recently had a new clutch and clutch assembly put in with only about ten hours on it if that of just riding around my acreage i also have all paper work for repairs also has newer tires on it has hi low five speed with reverse and the machine is in very nice shape i am asking $2,500 obo i have more than that in the atv 515-971-9809 the reason i am selling is i would like to buy a auto 4x4

  • Location: Norwalk
  • it's NOT ok to contact this poster with services or other commercial interests

Since I wouldnt mind having a spare 4x4 atv around I offer what I thought was a reasonable $1200. He stated any dealer would get $2500 easy out of this and my offer was ridiculous.

Now dont get me wrong, everyone is free to ask what they want for their stuff.......just checking if Im out of touch with reality here.

I just recently bought a 2000 Suzuki King Quad 300cc 4x4 with a generic winch and Moose snow blade setup for $1450....so I really wasnt even wanting to go $1200.....but I dang sure aint going any higher.

Wow, you got a smokin deal on that King Quad! I was just going to add that I just bought a 96 Bayou 4x4 for 750. I talked them down from 1200. I thought I got a pretty good deal on it considering it has new tires and runs like a top. All plastics are in great shape. There's one for sale here in the local classifieds right now: 95 Bayou 4x4 similar to mine, 1500. So yeah, he seems a little bit up in the night! I think you can go to KBB.com and check blue book pricing on atv's. I'd say keep lookin'...!

But yes the prices for used quad... or even new quads are crazy. To think you drop 8-10K on a new, or 5K + on a used quad just freaks me out. I mean you look at 5 year quads and they are just as expensive as 5 year old used car. Just crazy..

Just my 2 cents. That 93 Bayou looks to be like new, or at least in superb shape. I think he is a little high and you're a little low. Now, a normal 93 Bayou I'd say would go for $1000 - $1100 but that thing looks like an exception. However, not $2500 of an exception. If I were looking for a quad and came accross that, I might offer $1600 tops just because of the condition it is in.
