I have a 3000 lb Gorilla Winch on my quad and I like it. I think it was about 150 bucks on ebay including the mounting plate for my quad. I did break the free spool **** but it was my fault. Gorilla sent me a new one for free and it was pretty easy to take apart and put back together. I would recommend it for the moderate user.

Ive also got a cheapy winch....in fact its so cheap I dont even remember the name. So far its worked great.

Is it as good as a WARN.....no and I dont expect it to be.

If you expect WARN quality and you need WARN reliability.....buy a WARN.

If you just need a winch to do an occasional job or left a plow....buy a cheapy.

If my winch breaks on the trails its not the big of a deal.....the trail systems where I live arent that big......I can walk out easily and come back with a come along....another wheeler etc.

Maybe if I was truly in the middle of no where I would see the reasons to buy big name.....but Im not.

Default winch

Here is a great winch for a great price. On ebay they sell viper winch for about 200 bucks with everything from the ****** block to rocker switch as well as the mounting plate. This is a great winch and they have excellent customer service. They are proven performers.
