Looking to buy a sport atv and looks like a raptor 660 or
a KFX700. Need some help. What do you guys think?

The KFX is not for everybody...some dont like its weight or handling, others dont like the auto. They can be made to go very fast but as usual, money plays a part. There are small mods that can really wake the big V twin up! The weight does not bother me and I personally dont think it handles too bad for a bigger bike. It does have great ground clearance and a boat load of torque!! I can take mine anywhere on trails and it does great and it seems tuff as nails! You just need to know your limitations on it. I have heard of some that race it in scrambles and jump the hell out of it! It also is a real good duner. I think that it is a real good trail bike and i'll always have mine! I wouldnt trade it for the world!! With alot of people the weight seems to turn them off. I have heard that the 660's have had many gearbox issues and from talking to some of the Raptor owners, they seem to prefer the 700 Raptor hands down because it is more refined than the 660, a better bike. I would try to ride each and decide for yourself which you prefer...in the end its your money and your choice but I think both are good trail bikes Good luck with your choice and enjoy riding

 

I can buy the KFX from a friend of mine he has 2 of them. And he is the
guy i would be ridding with. I'm thinking i would rather have something
differnt. But his extra KFX and a used 660 are in my price range. What
about my size 6' 1" at like 250. If i was smaller i would be looking at a
400ex or something in that size.

You are about the same size as me. A Raptor or KFX would be fine for your size. I know lots of guys our size and they have 400ex's, LTZ400's and such as well.
