CV Removal tips needed
#1
Anyone got a surefire way to get cv's off aftermarket axles(gorilla/rhino)? Had to replace a boot on a brand new axle(free) cuz it had a hole. Put it in the vise and went to town with my slide hammer and it refused to come off. Called and complained(bought a 6" lift and tires w/beadlocks from them which had a few fitment issues)since it's been almost 3 weeks since I've been able to ride because I'm waiting on parts. They're sending me a new axle free but still wanted this one for an extra. Anyway, ended up hooking a chain on each end and attached one end to the back of my car hauler and the other end to the winch. Ran straps across so it wouldn't go flying, put on some tension, gave it a rap with the hammer, and off it came. Got to be an easier(and safer) way to do this.
