i have a 2001 yamaha 250 bear tracker. i wa riding it and came up to park it the shead. went out next morning and it has never fired since . replace what i was told to be the problem which was the very expensive CDI unit. still will not fire any help would be greatly appreciated.

 

Always start from cheap to expensive, plug,plug wire and ignition coil then exspensive stuff like CDI and stator.

 

i did try all of that but the stator is that the same thing as the magnetor, and would that be the reason it is not firing?

 

Looks like Yamaha uses a generator not a Stator on that ATV.
