If I was gonna buy a machine for working around a farm and some trail riding and speed wasnt a issue I would buy a newer 2009=2011 honda rubicon... Automatic tranny without belt.. low range.. and its the toughest best built ATV around... They still go 50+mph and have a very low center of gravity which makes them very safe to ride it's hard to roll one over..

lemme rephrase that, its a beast for what he uses it for. it goes really well for the engine size.nobody needs the power of a 800cc bike.who wants to go 70mph on a huge quad. all this gentalman wants is a simple atv to pull a trailer and ride alil bit so for that he doesnt need a big bike. my dads 420 handles a snow plow real well infact better then my wolvy 450 but when it comes to trail ridding i beat him.why buy a 10000 dallor quad when u can get a 420 for 6500 with powersteering and eletcric shift.

Anything 400cc or larger with 4x4 and low range will work fine. The american/canadian makes tend to be heavier which helps with snow/food plot work. Japanese brands tend to be more reliable. They all are capable. Local dealer/shop support should be something you factor into this purchase too.

polaris sportsman all the way comfortable ride plenty of power for what you tow and can plow like theres no tmmro and can still go pretty fast on the trails when u want to! i have two polaris's a 1996 425 magnum its pretty much bulletproof from what i put it thorugh i use around my property for makin trails towing a trailer and plowing snow and i can still go 60 mph on the trails. i just got a 2005 predator that cant compare to any of the 4wheeler i owed in the past based on power and a comfortable ride (yamaha blaster and kawaski mojove) and i can keep up with my dads ds650. my opinon polaris is all around better than any 4 wheller that i ever owned
