So I spent all day at Berrt's Trailpark in Dillwyn, VA. It is the first time I was on my quad for over two hours. It was pretty muddy and rutted, but I was blown away how well my Kawasaki Bayou 220 did. The 2wd didn't hold me back at all. I ended up getting stuck once, But it wasn't too bad.

The trail is mostly used by dirt bikes, so I spent most of the day riding the side of the seat. Most trails had a 15 to 30 degree slope to them. My wrists are killing me.

I can't wait for the national forest trails in open in April.

Right now, riding is only on groomed trails where they allow ATVs up here in New England. Without a set of tank tracks on your quad, 3 feet of snow means no go.

 

I lived in Mass for 8 years. I am not to pleased that I had to move to VA, but the boating season that never ends is pretty awesome (same for atv season).

 

Yup, these little 2wd quads with a true solid axle will go pretty much anywhere up to the point you high center on the frame. Glad you had a good time.
