Default 2 atv's in a full size pick up bed??

im a welder fabricator... contemplating welding something on the pick up bed,
so an atv can roll up and it will tilt up, slightly vertical, so another atv can fit behind it. i have seen 2atv's side by side on top of the pick up bed but i think 2 can fit inside the bed itself. i have a 03 silverado regular bed.
tailgate will be open and part of the second atv will be lifted by the hitch..
anyone ever transport an ATV vertically?

I DONT want a trailer, i like to drive on the fast lane

any input? thanks

With all that weight in the back you will not be able to drive fast anyway! (been there done that with a 1/2 ton and 2 go fasts). With the right trailer higher speeds will not be a issue. I have 3 place aluminum side load. You dont even notice its behind you. Very well balanced.

I think where he is (CA) trailers aren't allowed in the left lane on certain highways. I transport a mini upright and a full size sport regular all the time. Actually just went from an 8' bed on the last truck to the 6'6" bed now(just can't put the tailgate up anymore.) You should be OK with 2 sport quads. Add in some racks and extra heft of a ute and it might be a struggle.
