We are new to this forum and stumbled upon it while searching for a new part for our Polaris Sportsman 500. Thanks to this site and the posting for the Polaris Fire Hazard/Polaris 2203348 we discovered there was a recall on our machine. We bought it from a private party the year the recall came out & figure maybe the notice was lost in the transfer. The recalled part explains the random issues we've had with it over the years since we bought. We did end up having a small fire in it and are very thankful no one was injured. After contacting our local dealer it will be repaired under the recall. So, again thank you for the postings here, it has saved us at least $400!!
