Default Newbie looking for expert advice

Hi all. My name is Scott and live outside Dayton Ohio and I am looking to get back into rideing. I spent my youth rideing and raceing ATV's and MX and about 31 started having kids and stoped and got all fat and lasy. Now I have 3 little ones and I am looking to get back into the sceen.

I am thinking of two Quads first so we can ride in the winter and have fun in the snow. I am going to go used at first to see how the kids take to it. We will be small trail rideing for the most part. I am 6 foot 2 and 250lbs.

I was thinking of going with a 350 Warrior or 400 Honda EX from 98-2004 range for me. I am thinking that would fit me and I could put the 5 year old in my lap for the low speed trails. For the Kids I found a well taken care of 250 Mojave 97 for 650 that seems about right for the 9 year old to start on.

I know they make 2up ATV's but I am so very unfamiliar with them that i am not sure when they started and what i am looking at maybe you all can help me out there.

I also live in the Dayton area and will be looking for a place to ride with my kids and have fun. Any info would be great. I here there is a small place called Dayton Dirt Riders but have not been able to find the contact info.

Thank you for all the help to anyone that can give an old guy some good advice.

.
The 400ex is perfect choice. Few common problems with them is the cam chain stretching and headlight wiring corroding. Make sure to run it and flip headlights on/off hi/low. Mine would pop a fuse when I did. Also, Listen for a steady tick in the bottom right side. Cam chains are known to stretch.

I am not a fan of the warriors at all. They are VERY un ergonomic and uncomfortable when it comes to sport riding. It feels like trying to maneuver a washing machine through a put-put coarse.

Well I picked up a 97 Mojave 250 today for 450. Went over it with a fine tooch comb and found that the sifter lever and the splined rod where striped. I should be able to fix that in a few hours no problem and 130 b ucks in parts. Came with 2 sets of tires.

Now i am going to start looking for a Raptor or EX400 for me.
