just read the article on the home page of the forum! very good article.
WOW, this pic of this conversion has got to be the MOST AGGRESSIVE quad i've ever seen!. that boggles my mind!!!!
anyone ever do this? does someone on the forum actually have a quad like this one? WOW, that's just wild!!!!

Looks cool, but probably wouldn't perform as good as it looks. First, it wouldn't be very fast due to the gear reduction of the tracks. I don't think it would handle well either. Looks like that setup makes it sit quite a bit higher than normal, so it would probably be somewhat unstable. However, I guess it probably wouldn't be too bad at the lower speeds due to the tracks. Then there's the issue of where you could ride it. Some places may have a few more options, but here in MN the ATV trails are closed in the winter. Even though it has tracks and skis, it's still considered an ATV so it wouldn't be allowed on the snowmobile trails. That leaves ditches and maybe some forest roads if they are open.

In MI you can still ride most of the ATV trails in the winter but the tracks make it too wide to fit down the trail. That's the main reason I don't already have tracks. There's hardly anywhere to ride. It would be fun to ride if you could find a place to go.
