Default Heated seats!

My local home improvement store had heated seat pads for cars for $8.00. I bought one for my Jeep and it works fantastic. It gets warmer on hi than any stock heated seat I've tried. I like it so much that I bought a second pad. I've wondered if I could wire it into my Fourtrax's power outlet. I had a lighter splitter in the garage so I cut a lead off and wired it to the ATV outlet socket. Today I installed the pad on the ATV seat and turned it on. It worked surprisingly well. I felt the heat quickly and could actually feel it while riding. Not bad for $10.00 worth of materials. My son could also feel the heat on the rear seat.

I would check to see just how much of a drain this is on the charging system. These small batteries just do not hold much reserve power. If it works well great.

How well will it take getting wet?

Best to keep the shorts on the inside of the pants.

I've since used this when plowing for about two hours last weekend. It had no issues and actually felt great. It really helped having some heat source. The ATV started fine the next time I used it. I thought about the power issue but I do have a kick start in case there is an issue.

I don' think snow is wet enough to cause an issue but I can see how rain could. I have not had it out in a steady rain.
