Default Helmet Cam?

So what are you guys using for helmet cams? I'd like to get one for trail riding but would also like to use it for skiing and mountain biking.

Looking to spend about $100, but when researching various models the review always scare me away. Video quality, battery life, etc.

Can I get a decent helmet cam for $100?

Thanks,
Doug

I used a Sony Playsport Camera on some homemade mounts for a while, but not on a helmet mount. It worked "OK" but not great. After reading reviews I decided to spend the extra money to get a GoPro. It worked much better. I think you can get a 960 for around 150$ if you shop around. All my tests were done on a motorcycle, not my ATV, but I imagine it would be about the same. I did a little write up on it including some video tests if you are interested. Again, all on the motorcycle.

I love the Gopro, just got mine a few months ago, heres one on the quad first time I used it, if it gets covered in mud just take a garden hose to it, waterproof to 197 ft, it comes with all kinds of mounts.
